Audrey Lee

I am an international business student at Western New England University with a Paralegal Studies Certificate from Manchester Community College. I began taking college classes at Asnuntuck Community College at age 14, and have loved school and earning my way to a career ever since. My interest in law and government began at a very young age, through growing up in a political environment. I have volunteered in municipal elections, and participated in multiple events at the Legislative Offices in Hartford. I enjoy spending time with and talking to my elected officials about problems that affect my community, as well as help them with campaigning and publicity. I also find heading to the capitol for a lunch and a meeting is both exciting and fascinating. In addition to my experience in government, I have had the pleasure in helping out at my community college's radio station. My live on-air radio show, The Weekly Waves, has been running since Fall 2016, and through my classes I have learned the ins-and-outs of ENCO and Adobe Audition. I have also gained unique communication skills, like interviewing guests, how to effectively convey information quickly and spontaneously, as well as how to promote and advertise at events. My work in promotions have grown out of my summer camp job at CampAnime, a family-run, all-ages weekend summer camp held in Woodstock, CT. I have attended numerous pop-culture conventions around the East Coast advertising for our camp, and love traveling for business, representing my organization. And finally, my legal experiences started at the Manchester Community College ABA Approved Paralegal program. There, I have learned how to draft briefs, complaints, and other documents. I have gained a general legal-office knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, as well as understand the fundamentals of the laws regarding contracts, businesses, probate, and litigation in the state of Connecticut. I look forward to doing more legal work in the future.
