I work as a Student Assistant for the NYS Department of Health and am working towards obtaining a permanent position within the Department of Health.

I'll be in a two year traineeship in the Division of Nutrition, Bureau of Supplemental Food Programs. I only just started, so I'm not sure what my duties will be yet.

As a Student Assistant in the Bureau of Personnel I handle incoming resumes, answer the main phone line, assist with various filing projects, and I also post the new vacancies within the Department of Health every week. In addition I also handle the incoming 55 b/c letters and sort the mail.
