Varsity Sailing Coed

Joined the team with boating but no sailing experience in 2021, and became the manager for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. I have received two awards from this team, one each season, and have thoroughly enjoyed spending my afternoons out on the water with this special group of people.

Technical Theater

Light Board operator during the 2019-2020 season, and stage right manager during the 2021-2022 season. I had never done tech theater before, but enjoy the tasks that it encompasses, so I tried it and truly enjoy it!

Barn Volunteer and Summer Camp Horse Handler: Windrush Farm

Volunteered at Windrush farm, a therapeutic horseback riding facility, in multiple aspects. During the school year, I volunteered once weekly after school in the barn, assisting with the afternoon riding lesson prep, and barn chores. In the summertime, I spent approximately 2-3 weeks volunteering as a 1:1 horse handler. Working with children of all abilities, cognitive and physical, while they rode in lessons, in addition to other activities.

Animal Care Volunter, Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm

Starting at age 12, I became an Animal Care Volunteer at the Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm in Newbury, MA, with my mother as a chaperone. Each Saturday afternoon, starting then and still to this day, I feed and tend to the 20-plus rescued farm animals located at the farm.

Work Experience

Tour Guide & Summer Camp Teacher at Historic New England

Guiding hour-long, house tours of the Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm's 1690 manor house each week from June through October, as well as assisting with other special events.

In addition, I am also one of 3 co-teachers who are in charge of running week-long summer camps for children ages 5-8 and 9-12, for 4 weeks each summer.

I have attended children's programs at this same farm since I was a toddler and became an animal care volunteer around age 12, caring for the 20-plus rescued farm animals every Saturday afternoon.
