Majored in Business Administration
Susquehanna University, Class of 2018
From Selinsgrove, Pa.
My passion for using my creativity in a business environment started when I was in the third grade. All year-round I would make bracelets, necklaces, and rings out of tiny beads I had at home. During the summer months I would then set up a booth in my front yard and sell the items I created to the mailman, neighbors, my family and friends. This experience I had growing up lit a fire inside me to pursue a career in the fashion jewelry industry.
As a sophomore business major studying Luxury Brand Marketing and Management and Psychology at Susquehanna University, I am gaining the skills necessary to pursue a career in either the fashion, jewelry, and beauty industries. In order to become a more qualified candidate for marketing positions upon graduation, my goal is to mesh classroom learning with global and hands-on experience. In addition to my liberal arts education, during the fall semester of 2016 I am immersing myself in London, where I can better understand the average luxury consumer demographic and how prestigious companies promote a lifestyle to their target audience. While I am studying abroad I will be enrolled in business courses taught from a British perspective, present a marketing consulting project to professional business executives, and visit numerous companies including Oxford, BBC studios, Wimbledon and Farley's Antiques.
Ultimately, I am focused on a career where I can use my keen eye for fashion in addition to my analytical business skills, knowledge of the human psyche, and fascination for the luxury industry to engage consumers in a beloved luxury brand's "dream."
