Martial Arts: Junior Instructor
For two years I served as a Junior Instructor, aiding the Head Instructors with class setup, instruction, and correction. I was also responsible for assisting children with special needs during that time. I mainly helped teach kids who were in the Junior classes (ages 4-12), but on several classes I did help teach Advanced and Adult classes.

Martial Arts: Competitor
Synopsis: 15 years experience, multiple State and National Championships, passion for bare knuckle sparing and philosophy in relation to martial arts.
Taekwondo: For roughly 12 years I was a traditional Taekwondo practitioner. During that time I amassed a decent collection of medals, trophies, and titles (both State and National). I was also given the rare privilege of serving as the Assistant to Grand Master Kim, President of the Work Taekwondo Union (US Chapter), while he was overseeing a tournament hosted by our school and visiting his former student Master Mike White (my instructor).
Swordsmanship: I took a brief hiatus from Taekwondo and decided to peruse Olympic Fencing, then transitioned to Japanese Swordplay. I am proficient in both fields but hold no awards or titles.
Karate: As I was studying Japanese Swordplay, Master Mike White offered me a spot in his Shotokan Karate class. I view this time as the most important of my Martial Arts career. I studied for about three years, in which time I became State and Nationally ranked competitor in Full Contact Sparing and Form Competition. This was also my first real contact with the philosophical side of Martial Arts, which is now my primary field of study. I finished my Karate career with a 15-1 fight record.
