Student at Wilkes University majoring in Pre Education (UG)
I come from a humble little city on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. I have always enjoyed school. Certainly not the early mornings or the standardized tests, but I enjoyed the subjects, projects, and prospects of learning new things. I enjoyed being creative. I enjoyed being pushed to seek new horizons and ideas. In my first few years of college, I struggled with coming to grips with want I wanted to do as a career for the rest of my life. I danced with the idea of being an RN, a veterinarian, and even a Pediatric Physical Therapist. My major switched around until I was completely lost. I had too many interests and I could not settle on a career path. Everything changed when I volunteered for the READ Association of Saginaw. I fully embraced my love for education and my passion for working with children. In my journey to become a teacher, I hope to help children discover their interests and passions, while instilling them a healthy love for education. Children deserve the right to a proper education and a bright future.
