Bhanurada Saisamut

My name is Bhanurada Saisamut. Im a dentist with 20 years of experience from Thailand, land of smile, and I like to see and make people smiles. As a young student at a Christian elementary school, I discovered my fascination with smiles. During lunch breaks, I transformed into various characters: a Miss Thailand Universe contestant, a TV series protagonist, or a folk drama hero. Laughter became my currency, and my shows brightened the school librarys day event. Beyond the stage, I found another outlet for my creativity: Thai fruit and vegetable carving. The vibrant colors and intricate designs fascinated me. These delicate carvings taught me patience and precisionskills that would later serve me well in dentistry. Moreover, event that led me to pursue dentistry as career has happened on a moonlit night when I was twelve years old, riding home with my family. The highway stretched before us, a ribbon of asphalt connecting lives. And there, on the roadside, a stranger man sat bloodied and broken. My parents acted quickly. My father parked our car, emergency flashers blinking, shielding the man from oncoming traffic. My mother, a nurse, knelt beside him, hands steady as she estimated his injuries. My father dialed 191the Thai police center. Their actions flowed seamlessly, as if practiced by fate. In that moment, they became heroes to methe ones who stop, who care, who act without hesitation. They taught me that compassion knows no boundaries, that humanity thrives in those moments when we put others before ourselves.
