I am excited to begin my higher education, and explore a variety of potential careers within the field of engineering. I have a passion for math, science, and the natural world. And through hard work I am sure that I will be able to improve both myself and the world around me in this next chapter of my life.

Symphonic Band

In this band, I spent time practicing more classical and traditional music in company with a large ensemble. We also participated in solo and small ensemble competitions, which I participated in every year.

Jazz II

Jazz II was a chance for students to try out the complex and demanding genre of Jazz, and to study it in its many forms. The groups were smaller and relied more on individual performance, as well as the ability to coordinate with the rest of the band. But the challenge which stood out most was soloing, which was improvisational and created on the spot, and which obviously required a lot of practice.

Math Club

Math Club was a place where academic individuals could come together to do a variety of activities, ranging from practicing actual math, to cognitive board games and fun strategy challenges. The possibilities were endless in that club, and I looked forward to every weekly meeting which took place.

Boy Scouts of America

I have been a part of this organization for many years. It has taught me everything from the importance of community service to the virtues and responsibilities of leadership. In Fall of 2020, I earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout, which is one of my greatest achievements to date. I have also been a part of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national honor society, since Fall of 2016.
