Breanna Bagby

I am currently a student at Iowa State University majoring in Animal Science. I expect to graduate in 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. After graduation, I am looking for a position as a food or pharmaceutical sales representative in the animal industry. I have a deep passion for animals and their health and wellbeing. I would love to be able to work with animals in some way and to educate people on how nutrition and health care can be the building blocks to a long, healthy, happy life for animals. I have worked in two separate small animal veterinary hospitals for a total of 5 years. My daily work tasks include assisting the doctor in appointments and surgeries, draw up vaccines, fill prescriptions, assist in radiographs, ultrasounds, euthanasias, and preform dental cleaning procedures alone, as well as answering phones, prepping appointments, and greeting clients. Skills: I have the ability to work well in a fast paced environment, work well as a team or individually, I have great customer service skills and I am proficient in Cornerstone computer program as well as Microsoft word and social media websites (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter), I am a quick learner, and punctual. I have had international experience in Costa Rica and Europe. While in Costa Rica, I was able to participate in a homestay with a host family and experience how some Costa Ricans live in an agricultural setting as well as volunteering at a local elementary school painting and improving the overall aesthetics of the school and school grounds for the children, staff, and surrounding community. I traveled to Europe in June of 2013 and visited Prague, Budapest Hungary and Austria for two weeks, experiencing cultural emersion and touring cultural sites with my DMACC Central Campus Animal Science and Horticulture high school program.
