I am a student at Trine University studying Accounting with intentions of declaring a second major in Finance. At Trine I am a part of the Trine Men's Soccer Team, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Trine University Honors Program, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. My most recent employment was a part-time position at Family Video as a Customer Service Representative. Before that I worked a couple summers at Joseph's R & R Greenhouse.
Ever since I was a pretty young child, I knew I wanted to grow up and be a business man. I envisioned myself as the stereotypical wealthy business man who wore a suit to work everyday. I think that this vision was influenced heavily from my parents who own and operate our family business, LeGalley Insurance, LLC. Started by my great grandfather, my grandfather passed it down to my father, who then brought my mother into the business. Now my older sister will take over when my father retires. Insurance isn't exactly what I am interested in though. I developed my passion for accounting and finances in High School when I took a couple introductory accounting courses. Ever since then I have had my heart set on joining the Accounting industry.
I have held several different positions across these organizations such as Risk Management Chair for Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Alumni Chair for the Trine Honors Program, and have recently been elected Treasurer for the Trine Honors Program. These offices have taught me skills such as professional communication, time management, and scheduling events. My time at Family Video helped me to develop better personal communication skills as well as multi-tasking. I am currently searching for internship opportunities that will give me valuable experience in accounting, preferably in public accounting as that is what I hope to do upon graduation.
