January, 31 2023 - Verified by University of Rhode IslandDuring my winter break I volunteered as a laboratory assistant in the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, in conjunction with MassBiologics. Projects focused on in the Product Discovery Department Lab revolved around developing human monoclonal antibodies to target infectious diseases like SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) and Enterotoxigenic Escherichia Coli (ETEC), along with Borreliosis (Lyme disease) and RhD (blood antigen).

- Act in two capacities: aid fellow students as a peer-educator, and use my experience as a student-teacher to help improve course content

- Assist dental hygienists with sealants
- Perform Tell, Show, Do to prepare patients before their procedures
- Record pocket measurements during periodontal charting
- Assist orthodontist with applying and removing braces and elastics
- Use the iTero to produce intraoral scans of teeth for Invisalign
- Help teach our Preschool-Based Oral Health Education Program (e.g. Nativity Preschool)
- Run social media accounts for the practice (Instagram and LinkedIn)
- Participate in Lunch & Learn presentations
- Trained in Dentrix dental office software
- Front desk experience: scheduling patient appointments, checking patients in, insurance, & billing
- Licenses and Certifications: DA, CPR, BLS, AED, & Bloodborne Pathogen Certification
