I am Britney Allen Jones, the founder and CEO of The Chad Lake Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the injustices within the prison system and promoting education on addiction. Inspired by the tragic loss of my brother, Chad Lake Raymond, who died due to medical negligence while incarcerated, I have turned my family's pain into passion to support individuals struggling with substance use disorder (SUD) and advocate for rehabilitation over incarceration.
Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Kentucky, where I continue to push for policy changes and prison reforms that address the root causes of addiction and incarceration. My work is driven by a deep commitment to transforming Kentucky's approach to addiction, ensuring that individuals receive the care and support they need to recover and reintegrate into society, rather than being punished without proper treatment.
