Nicole Cabrera Salazar
I'm obtaining my PhD in Astronomy at Georgia State University, but my real passion lies in science advocacy, public education and outreach, and science communication. I believe in making science fun and interesting for everyone, and that science education makes for an empowered and informed society. As an advocate for equity and inclusion in STEM, I also believe that everyone should have access to science regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability status, or socioeconomic status. STEM is for all of us.

Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University
I conduct observational astronomy research, searching for exoplanets around nearby, young, Sunlike stars. I use spectroscopic data in the near-infrared (with the CSHELL instrument on the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility in Hawaii) and in the optical (with the SOPHIE instrument at the Observatoire de Haute Provence in France).
