I am working with Kid's First Law which serves Johnson and Linn Counties. Specifically, I am helping facilitate some of the workshop sessions for children whose parents are going through a divorce.

Assist staff attorneys and paralegals with research, writing, intake, and case preparation. Accompany attorneys to court appearances, community meetings, and workshops or presentations. Topic areas worked with: Unemployment/Benefits law, Landlord and Tenant Law, Expungements, Family Law matters, protective orders etc.

Served children and families in Scott County with a variety of social and mental health needs. Provided behavioral health intervention and family centered services, habilitation services for adults, supervised visitations in conjunction with DHS, and supervised youth community service projects in conjunction with juvenile court. Submitted reports for each individual session as well as quarterly progress reports for specific programs. Typical case load of twelve to fourteen clients.

Psychological Effects of Music on Physical Endurance

This was a semester-long psychological research project that I helped develop and facilitate with a couple of classmates. The project was for one of my upper-level psychology courses. My classmates and I studied the effects listening to different genres of music could have on an individual's physical endurance.
