LEAP Into Leadership is a club at Eastern that teaches students leadership skills, organizational skills, goal setting, and other techniques that help students reach their full potential in school and in their career field. As a Social Work major, I feel that LEAP has helped me improve upon skills that will help me in my future career. I look forward to participating in more meetings, and continuing to grow as a student.

At weekly Social Work Club meetings, we discuss current events, upcoming services and fundraises, and also about the Social Work field in general. Along with this we have also put on fundraisers such as bake sales, and we held a coat drive with collection boxes throughout campus. Our biggest event of the year is Laundry of Love. As a club we "rent out" a laundry mat and use our fundraising money to buy laundry for local people in Willimantic.
