Cassie Kyon

Majored in Anthropology
Georgia State University, Class of 2025
From Atlanta, GA
After a decade in the beauty industry, I pursued a career change in the fields of anthropology and neuroscience with a purpose toward non-government organizations concerning homelessness, mental health, and disability. In my creative life, I am to be published for my first novel in dark fantasy confronting the stigmas and realities of mental health. I am an avid, professional writer and wish my skills best utilized toward something meaningful. While a university student, I work full-time as an instructor for the Paul Mitchell school system. My purpose is to promote productivity and ensure student success. My goal is to train a more confident, efficient generation of licensed professionals. As of June 2024, I begin my fourth year at Georgia State. I've filed my DBA as a practicing barber at Tiger's Eye Barbershop, where I use the opportunity of meeting new people and perform services for educational purposes through a protege program I offer my students and recent graduates in my Atlanta community.
