My name is Christina Hamling and I am currently a student at the University of Nebraska located in Lincoln, NE. I am majoring in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Education. My undergraduate degree is estimated to be complete by May 2019, and I plan to attend graduate school to obtain a Master's Degree in Speech-Langauge Pathology. In the future, I hope to obtain a job as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school or medical setting.

Student Advisory Board Member at University of Nebraska–Lincoln

I serve on the College of Education and Human Sciences Student Advisory Board. As a student ambassador, I serve as a liaison between students and college officials. I also work with professors and instructors to improve classes and the college's learning environment. The board also hosts events throughout the year to promote the college and help students.

I work as an intern for the State FCCLA Advisor in the Nebraska Department of Education. My job includes assisting the state advisor whenever it is needed, running errands, completing projects with a focus on student leadership and families, and assisting in organizing the FCCLA State Conference hosted in April. I will also fill the position of Honorary Conference Assistance Coordinator during the conference. This position includes selecting the conference assistants, assigning them tasks, and ensuring all jobs are completed in a timely manner.
