Christian Thomas

Currently, I am a fourth-year student in the highly competitive Teacher Education Program at the University of Iowa College of Education. I am pursuing teaching licensure in Secondary Education with endorsements in K-12 ELL Instruction and K-8 Reading. I will also graduate with a BA in Spanish. I plan to work in the field of education as a teacher of English, Spanish, and of English Language Learners. Afterward, I hope to work in School Administration as a principal and superintendent. I believe that each student in our public school system has the ability to reach their full learning potential when given effective and equitable supports, as well as an environment conducive to growth, diversity, development, and learning. I am a Student Member of the Iowa State Education Association and the National Education Association, a Hawkeye Student Ambassador for the University of Iowa College of Education, and a student participant in the University of Iowa Dance Marathon.
