Office of Presidential Correspondence Associate at The White House
I was selected as one of twenty undergraduate and graduate students in the United States to participate in the White House Associate Program and was placed in the Office of Presidential Correspondence (“OPC”); OPC maintains the objective of protecting the President and corresponding with Americans effectively and efficiently on behalf of the President. My individual responsibilities included assessing electronic, hard copy and telephone communication directed to the White House for required follow-up, including routing to the President or his designate(s), referring to the Secret Service or Federal Bureau of Investigation, referring to another appropriate US Government Agency, or offering direct response to the communicator. My duties also included managing a group of OPC volunteers to ensure coding accuracy as well as individual project completion.
