Ciara McCune

I am currently in my senior year at the University of Iowa. I am a Direct Admit in the Tippie College of Business, pursuing a degree in Marketing with a Leadership Studies Certificate. I am involved in student organizations like Dance Marathon and Greek Life. I am passionate about pursuing a career in Marketing and am interested in the consumer behavior aspect. I enjoy learning the psychology behind consumer actions and engagement with product/services and companies. I also enjoy the creative side of marketing. I enjoy being creative in my personal life with hobbies and am looking for a creative outlet in my professional life as well. During my time as a Marketing Communications intern at Principal Financial Group, I was on a team that focused on marketing and communication efforts directed to the consumer. In this role I was project manager and produced a piece of evergreen educational content that is used to increase customer satisfaction, strengthen the customer's relationship, and increase retention rate of the target audience. During this project I collaborated with 15 individuals from multiple areas of the company, stuck to a production calendar and presented the content piece to leaders in my department.
