Majored in Engineering And Management
Clarkson University, Class of 2016
From Lebanon, New Hampshire
I will pave the way for the future of the engineering industry. I am very interested in the fields of design, testing, and management where I can apply my creativity and leadership skills to create the next big thing! I have learned hands on engineering skills through Clarkson's CAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, and MS Office projects as well as my personal ventures of designing ski/ bike parks, and disassembling things such as my Xbox. My time at Clarkson has taught me excellent communication and leadership skills through my presidency of both the Bike Club and the Ski Club as well as my job as a Master Peer Educator for First Year Seminar. I am a quick learner and have a burning desire to acquire more knowledge so that I can further implement my creativity, leadership, and problem solving skills for the betterment of your company!

Cycling Club
In the past year the club’s size has doubled, our budget has doubled, and our club has become a legitimate contender in the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference. Recently I have been working hand in hand with the President of our University, President Collins, to build a new bike park and trail system at an old ski mountain. This has quickly become an interdepartmental project and we have been working with Landscaping, Marketing, and the Department of Sustainability.

Ski & Snowboard Club
Clarkson University Ski Club is the biggest club here at our school.Obligations include: sending out and responding to over 150 emails a week, planning and conducting weekly meetings, creating member spreadsheets and documents to expedite sign ups and pass sales, executing our gas reimbursement program, and organizing our events. The ski club has taught me how to assist many different types of people and how to uniformly address questions and concerns appropriately.

(You)Knight Student Ambassadors
This Club gave me a great opportunity to be a peer leader and work on a discussion board. I learned a lot of great listening and brain storming skills as I worked on a board with five to six other students where we brainstormed/planned ways to advertise, spread involvement, and "pay it forward". We ended up giving out gift baskets and appreciation cards to teachers and captured the reactions on video. I was glad to be a part of the council helping to initiate one of the many Clarkson traditions.

Credit/ Finance Intern and Market Growth Project Team at Farm Credit East
Being a Finance/ Credit intern allowed me to learn about the different parts of a loan, the processes of keeping financial records, and the following: • Farming and the agricultural industry by going to on-site visits where we assessed operations • The process of applying for and receiving a loan • The appraisal Process • Collateral Analysis Memorandums • Benchmarking techniques for the Agricultural Industry • Filing taxes and important financial documents The majority of my summer was spent working on the Market Growth Project in which I did the following: • Collaborated with a team of 7 other interns, and 5 senior management members • Visited three other branches to collaborate, build rapport, and highlight potential prospect avenues • Found new prospects using online databases for three separate branches o Prospect total was around 7500 new prospects • Compiled my results into a 30 minute presentation • Presented my findings to 100 of the most influential people at the company including all of senior management I gained hands on experience with the following: • Microsoft Excel • Microsoft Powerpoint • EmPower (Farm Credit East’s Enterprise System) • Microsoft Outlook • Formal Presentation • Interdepartmental collaboration • Building Rapport • Finding new avenues for marketing • Outside the box thinking Although I learned a lot as an intern the most important skill I learned was that of learning itself. Having no agricultural background I had to be open to new things and fully envelope myself in the company culture, something that I think is the most valuable skill of all.
