Christy Maldonado Originally from Santa Barbara, California and raised in Florida, I am a passionate advocate for mental health with a strong academic foundation in psychology. Having earned my bachelor's degree from Southern New Hampshire University, I am currently completing my Master's in Mental Health and Clinical Psychology, with an anticipated graduation date of November 1, 2025, an achievement that represents years of dedication and perseverance. As the spouse of a recently retired United States Air Force veteran who served honorably for 21 years, I understand the unique challenges and strengths of military families. My daughter remains my greatest inspiration, and balancing family responsibilities with academic pursuits has taught me invaluable lessons in resilience and time management. My professional interests in psychology are complemented by my personal commitment to holistic wellness. I find that my outdoor pursuits horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, and camping provide essential balance to my academic work and inform my understanding of the mind-body connection that is so critical in mental health practice. I approach both professional and personal relationships with cultural sensitivity and genuine curiosity, values shaped by my appreciation for diverse perspectives. As I prepare to transition from student to practitioner, I remain committed to ethical practice, continuous learning, and making meaningful contributions to the mental health field.
