Volleyball
During my freshman year in high school I would become a member of the junior varsity volleyball team. Eventually, I was elected co-captain with one of my other fellow teammates. With this, it was important that new schedules and events were properly communicated to the rest of the team through me. Sophomore year I was moved up to the varsity team.

National Honors Society
I have been a part of National Honors Society since my junior year. Every year I have to meet the requirements of the society to keep an active membership. This includes maintaining the proper GPA and volunteer hours.

Link Crew
I joined Link Crew my junior year and have assisted my group in adjusting to the ways of the high school. I attended all the training sessions, homeroom meetings, and other school activities that are promoted by Link Crew. It is very satisfying to see the freshman at the end of the year and know that you have helped them adjust to where they are

Key Club
Key Club is one of my favorite activities because we get involved with the local community through volunteer work. I joined my freshman year and have been an active member since. At the end of my sophomore year I was elected to be the editor of the club. With this position, I would help complete general officer tasks, like organizing volunteer opportunities, and those of an editor, like updating the news board and communicating these events.

Rain Garden
Through Key Club, I took the opportunity to help design a community rain garden to help protect the local waterways. At the meetings, we helped select plants and design ideas. When it came time to plant, I was given the opportunity to lead the volunteers by directing where plants should be situated and helped make last minute decisions. Through the work on the rain garden, we would receive the 2016 Schuylkill Scholastic Drinking Water Award.

Perkiomen Valley Library
Volunteering at the Perkiomen Valley Library has included me running activities for children during the summer. Arts and crafts, movie days, science activities—are just some of the theme related days that I have assisted. One summer I even got to run a children’s program and lead the volunteers. A few days before, I prepared the materials necessary and during the event I made sure everything ran smoothly.

Sole Hope
Sole Hope is an organization that collects old blue jeans and cuts them into patterns that can be used to make shoes. These patterns are sent to Africa where they are sewn together by locals and given out to community members to ensure their feet are covered. Wearing shoes protects their feet from parasitic organisms. As a volunteer, I would help cut these patterns.

Blood Drive Volunteer
Instead of donating blood, I devoted my time to help run my school's blood drive. Hall passes needed to be written and distributed and a time record of when the donators enter and leave the gym was to be kept.

Intern at Montgomery County Conservation District

At Montgomery County Conservation District, I job shadowed with Krista Scheirer, a watershed specialist. Through out my three week internship, I attended meetings and environmental events. We worked together to educate several Upper Merion elementary schools about storm drains and supplied them with the proper materials to mark them. The storm drain project required me to take coordinates of storm drains around the KOP Mall and map them for volunteers to follow. Before job shadowing I had previously worked with Krista to design and plant a rain garden. Therefore, we also devoted some time to choosing additional plants and weeding the garden. I also helped with designing and planting a two other areas nearby.

Cashier & Trainer at Panera Bread

I have been an associate at Panera Bread since May of 2016 and have training in dining room, dish, and cashier services. Panera Bread is constantly adapting to the changing society; therefore, I continually go through trainings and attend educational events. Showing Panera warmth is the company's way of saying customer service and a core value. It is vital to treat the customers like family. My job responsibilities also include preparing certain foods for line production. By August of 2016, I was training newly hired employees.

May 2016 - Present
Cashier & Ice Cream Scooper at Brusters ice cream

The summer going into my junior year, I was employed at Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, where I was an ice cream scooper. I worked around three days a week where I would directly work with customers to fulfill their needs. Especially with kids, it is important to know the products to help direct them to what they would like if their particular flavor is not available. The next summer I was employed at Panera Bread, and I continue to work there, where I am trained to take care of multiple jobs. It is vital to properly represent the company and to be responsible.
