Connor Wilfawn

I'm a third year student at the University of Iowa. I'm committed to helping others, and this is why I've chosen to go into the medical field after graduating with a degree in Human Physiology. I have a great work ethic, and I hope to make a difference in the lives of others both now, and in my future career. My strengths according to the Clifton Strengths Finder include: Futuristic- inspired by the future and what could be Achiever- have a great deal of stamina and work hard Restorative- adept at dealing with problems Relator- enjoy close relationships with others Learner- desire to learn and want to continuously improve I was very involved with sports and volunteer work in high school. I helped package and deliver meals for kids in my community that did not have the resources for meals over the weekend. I also helped with the community Easter Egg Hunt for several years and helped coach a biddy basketball team. I played softball for 5 years in high school and became a captain, played volleyball for 4 years and became a captain, played basketball for 2 years and then managed boys varsity basketball for 2 years, ran track for 3 years, and played golf for 1 year. I would contribute many of my skills and experiences to the volunteer opportunities and sports I was fortunate enough to be involved in throughout my high school career.
