Courtney Oviatt

My name is Courtney Oviatt, and I am a junior at Buena Vista University at Council Bluffs, Iowa. As a tenacious student, I enrolled as a freshman at College of St. Mary in Omaha, NE. There I was a member of the 2013 Walk Tall Honors Program, the Dean's list, and the Student Paralegal Association. Seeking a desire for a bigger school, I attended UNI as a sophomore; major undecided. There I was a member of the Dancer Hall Senate. Realizing a traditional college atmosphere was not best suited for my personality, I transferred closer to home to attend BVU at Council Bluffs. I am a public administration major and an English minor. At BVU I am a member of the Dean's List and the BVU Merit program for my academic achievements. From my previous academic and employment experiences I possess avid communication, time-management, and professional skills. I am passionate about reading, writing, and researching; three skills that provide the ability to positively affect and empower people. I am confident that my education, work experiences, and personal ambition will guide me to a career best suited for my interests.
