After receiving a BA in Theatre Performance from UNCC, Christine moved to Chicago to pursue acting on stage and on camera. After two years of continual work as an actor, she moved to Charlotte, NC. A few years later, she returned to UNCC to study for an MA in History and write a thesis, which will be expanded into a book following graduation. In the meantime, she started a web-series called The History Gal and has begun pitching ideas for TV documentaries.

In this position, the tasks are quite varied. All of the skills needed come from a strong background in historical research and theatrical training. This is a web-series that gives interested viewers and classrooms a foundational understanding of various times in history, such as the infamous Tudor monarchs, or it can address the traditions behind holidays, and even the interesting stories of royal men and women who affected change for their countries. It is a social media platform for historians to reach wider audiences and introduce viewers to incredible authors with our "Interview" series.

This position requires direct contact with authors and publishers and demands strong editing skills. The assistant to the editor reviews and approves original research articles having to do with urban development, both scientifically and historically. Those articles are then assembled into cohesive issues, which appear online and in print, and are distributed worldwide. This position also requires travel to annual meetings and conferences in the U.S., which support authors and academics associated with the study of Urban development and planning.
