Adaptive Equipment Project Presentation

A few of my fellow OTA classmates created two pieces of adaptive equipment for a gentleman in the community. The man was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and had the onset stages of Parkinson's. We decided to make two devices that would give him the ability to eat and drink independently, while reducing his tremor symptoms. We made a weighted, magnetic, universal silverware handle and a weighted, universal, adjustable cup handle.
