Majored in Aerospace Engineering
University of Iowa, Class of 2016
From New York, NY
I am a recent grad, majored in Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with an Astronautics concentration at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I hold my FAA Airframe & Powerplant License obtained during High School, both FCC GROL and GMDSS licenses and my Private Pilots license. Currently, I recently accepted a position as a Platform Systems Engineer with Rockwell Collins on the Coast Guard Helicopter program starting in Feb. 2017 Engineers have consistently defy the impossible to achieve some of the most breath-taking feats in history. Our spirit and ingenuity has played a major role in turning what was essentially science fiction into reality. As a kid, I've never appreciate technology as others do because I always felt that things can be better. I seldom consider anything "perfect" because it means the end of progression and start of regression. This is probably one of the major reason why I've chose engineering as my career because I can make a difference to keep the progression forward by passing on human innovations. Of the various disciplines in engineering, the aerospace field was the one that intrigued me the most. With that in mind, as I proceed with my studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, I see the many flaws of the aircraft designs and ways it can be improved upon. Aerospace engineers are facing the forefront of an ever-changing world conglomerating with cutting-edge technology, and it is my dream that, I will be able to catch on the tide of this ever-advancing industry. I believe that my desire to personally make a difference, along with the qualifications that I have achieved throughout recent years, will help me to adapt the challenges and opportunities to keep the innovation alive and make the aerospace industry faster, better and robust.
