Product Development Engineer at GizzMoVest LLC Custom Molded CASES HOLSTERS COVERS Lightweight UAV CASES Composites Made in the USA
As a Product Development Engineer, I act as a Product Engineer II and Product Designer II. My main role is to increase our currant product portfolio by bringing ideas from conception to full production.
Very self directed, I am able to bring my ideas of form and function to each design. Each product must take into consideration the method of molding, the materials to be used, and the assembly. I work with our Production Manager to create profitable products that push the limits of therm-forming, and the compression molding process as well as efficiently making use of our assembly process. I have the opportunity take ownership of each project, in which I lead the material sourcing and design.
Depending on the customer needs and the scope of the project, I will design the product, source new materials, create the corresponding compression molds for production and and plan the assembly configuration.
The OEM projects I lead increase the diversity of products offered by GizzMoVest LLC. By bringing new ideas and methods to the team I am increasing the capabilities GizzMoVest LLC can offer to its customers.
I have the great opportunity to learn from, and work with, strong industry holders in design and the automotive industries. Under their supervision I am gaining invaluable exposure to industry standards and protocols. I work directly with our production manager and machinist to ensure concepts are created so they are ready to be manufactured. Using my understanding of the compression molding process, and inherent traits of materials I am working with the team to discover new ways improve our products, in design and production. I am continually looking for new ways to push both our products as well as our manufacturing techniques to a new level. Leading projects within the medical, high-end audio and person transportation industries I use SolidWorks to create 3D Models for our project needs.
