Dr. Deborah McMurtrie is an associate professor and middle level program coordinator in the School of Education at the University of South Carolina Aiken. She teaches courses in educational psychology, adolescent development, diversity, and classroom management as well as curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Her research interests include interdisciplinary curriculum development and culturally responsive practice. She is a certified teacher with more than twenty-five years of teaching experience.
