Deven Wallace

Deven Wallace is an Active-Duty U.S. Army Soldier and a Senior at Austin Peay State University enrolled in their Criminal Justice program. He comes from Hockley, TX, where he grew up in a children's home named Boys and Girls Country (BGC). He went on from BGC to attend Hargrave Military Academy, where he graduated and earned an advanced high school diploma with honors in 2019. From Hargrave Military Academy, Deven went on to attend Marion Military Institute "MMI" (the nation's oldest military junior college) for two years. After two years at MMI, Deven enlisted in the United States Army to pursue a better path and life for himself and graduated with his associate's degree. Currently, while on active duty, Deven is taking a few classes at a time, progressing through the enlisted ranks and towards his bachelor's degree. Deven completed an internship with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in the summer of 2023. After graduating from Austin Peay State University, he plans to attend law school and become an Assistant District Attorney, Assistant United States Attorney or Trial Counsel (Military Prosecutor) focusing on prosecuting crimes against children/special victims, human/narcotics trafficking, and violent crimes. During Deven's free time, he serves as a Volunteer Crisis Counselor on the Crisis Textline (988), a mentor with the Montgomery County Juvenile Court's 20/10 Vision Program, a Court Appointed Special Advocate (in progress), pushes his team to be the best they can be and consistently works to bring the best out in others and maintain a positive attitude daily.
