Dr. Daniel Farhat is an Associate Professor in the Economics Department at Radford University. His central research interests are in artificial social simulation with applications to economic dynamics, social systems, macroeconomics, labor economics and the evolution of economic behaviors. Dr. Farhat has also completed several empirical studies related to international trade, entrepreneurship, business cycles, culturomics, health, consumer spending and environmental management. Instead of focusing on a single sub-field of economics, Dr. Farhat has spent his time mastering a set of innovative analytical tools which he then uses to study a larger variety of problems/issues.
