David Elgersma

Primary responsibility is to be of help to the professor, including filling in to teach or proctor exams when needed. Additional responsibilities include demonstration of a thorough understanding of the course material, competence to prepare students for exams, and regular communication with the professor(s). Grading refreshes my knowledge of the material and provides me with the opportunity to critically evaluate others' work through positive and constructive criticism. I am blessed with 119 students for Principles of Accounting I, 33 students for Intermediate Accounting I, and 99 students for Principles of Accounting II.

This accounting internship is an unpaid position with tasks such as setting up electronic books using excel, quick books, etc..., creating a budget, calculating ending inventory and cost of goods sold, and various other bookkeeping tasks. Started by a young entrepreneur about two years ago, Parker's General Store seeks to provide affordable health food options, such as organic and gluten-free foods, to the general public of Greene County, OH. Supervise over 300 student workers with another student manager to maintain a professional appearance of the cafeteria, resolve employee conflicts, attend customers' needs, conduct a smooth operation of the dish room, assist full-time managers, and clearly communicate FDA regulations to fellow student workers.
