From Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Donna has had the privilege of living in some of the finest towns America has to offer, due to her husband, Lt.Col. Warren's career as an Air Force fighter pilot. This combined with 3 very active daughters, has afforded Donna the opportunity to be involved on many levels in numerous volunteer capacities. Donna's work experience is as broad as her college resume where she majored in Psychology and minored in Social Work and then completed her Masters in Social Work (while maintaining a perfect 4.0/4.0)....from a sales hostess at Walt Disney's Emporium, in the Magic Kingdom to the Director of Youth and Children's Ministries at churches in Hawaii, Alaska, and Texas, to co-creating ReadBAMARead, Donna has learned to jump in wherever life takes her.
"God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us." Ephesians 3:20(msg)

Co-Founder at Read Bama Read
Following the April 27, 2011 tornadoes that ripped through Tuscaloosa, Alabama, I wanted to contribute to the recovery of this city. I decided that the most meaningful way to give back was to focus on helping in an area that would impact not only those immediately affected by the tornado, but also leave a lasting legacy to future generations. Partnering with Dana Duckworth, I co-founded ReadBAMARead. Together, and with the help of friends and family from around the globe, ReadBAMARead aided with the rebuilding of three Tuscaloosa public school libraries, by raising more than $150,000.00. Beyond the initial endeavor, ReadBAMARead continues to promote literacy and has recently partnered with The University of Alabama's College of Education. With a new intervention "The ReadBAMARead Express" we are promoting literacy to children from 3 years through the 3rd grade. Visit our website ReadBAMARead.org for more information.

Located in the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World, the Emporium was the busiest store of all Disney World properties. Beyond selling merchandise in the Emporium, I also aided in reuniting lost children with their families, and helped with crowd control during parades on Main Street.
