Lam Nguyen

Dr. Lam D. Nguyen is a tenured Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Management and International Business in the AACSB-accredited Zeigler College of Business at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He is also the Director of the Global Business Institute (GBI). In addition, he is a Research Fellow at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Dr. Nguyen has served on the editorial board of several refereed journals and currently is a Guest Editor for a Special Issue in several high quality refereed journals such as International Journal of Public Administration, World Review of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development, and International Journal of Business and Globalisation. He has served as Visiting Professor at Webster University Thailand and at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City. Dr. Nguyen possesses a solid practitioner experience including various managerial and leadership positions he held in Vietnam and in the U.S. His areas of expertise include, but not limit to, leadership, strategic management, ethics, public administration, entrepreneurship, and cross cultural management. Dr. Nguyen has published numerous articles in high quality refereed journals and proceedings, including Leadership & Organizational Development Journal, International Journal of Public Administration, Journal of Management Development, SAM Advanced Management Journal, Global Business Review, Public Organization Review, Journal of Asia Business Studies, and others. He is a recipient of multiple prestigious awards such as Emerald Best International Symposium Award and Best Reviewer Award from the Academy of Management and Provosts Award for Excellence in Research/Scholarly Activity from Bloomsburg University. Dr. Nguyen has served as the faculty advisor of several student organizations including Global Business Association, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Society for Advancement of Management-BU Chapter and has been awarded the 2018 Student Organization Advisor of the Year by Bloomsburg University and the 2013 Outstanding Faculty Advisor by the Society for Advancement of Management. The Beta Gamma Sigma-BU Chapter received the Outstanding Chapter Award- Honorable Mention in 2015 in addition to multiple Highest Honors and Exemplary Chapter Awards since 2013. In addition to being a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Dr. Nguyen is a member of several prestigious honor societies including the International Honor Society Beta Gama Sigma, the International Honor Society in Business Administration, Lambda Kappa Chapter Delta Mu Delta, and the International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration Sigma Beta Delta.
