Sanchez Leadership Award by the CICD Puerto Rican Parade, The William Henry Jacklin Award by Phoenix Society, Edward currently serves on the board of directors for the Julio C. Lozada Foundation, Boys and Girls Club Hartford, Hartford Behavioral Health, The Open Hearth, InterCommunity Inc., Goodwin College Board of Trustees, Minnie Gonzalez Little League, and Catholic Charities Comprehensive Youth Services Department Advisory Board Edward is a 2008 of the Dr. Carl Holmes Executive Development Institute held at Dillard University, New Orleans, LA., holds a level IV certification in Homeland Security through the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, an Associates of Science Degree in Homeland Security from Goodwin College, East Hartford, CT, Bachelors of Fire Science Degree from Columbia Southern University, Orange Beach, Alabama.
