Majoring in Discover Business
University of Dayton
From Arlington Heights, IL
Hello, and thanks for visiting my page! I'm a hard working, ambitious, problem solving student at the University of Dayton looking to build connections in the business world. I currently spend my time at the University of Dayton working for Flyer Enterprises, the 4th largest student run business in the nation and also as a brother in the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. Working for Flyer Enterprises, it stresses experiential learning incorporating the values of passion, ethics, accountability, and purpose to actually run a business. As a brother in AKPsi, we are encouraged to network, find internships and better each other professionally. I am adventurous, willing to meet new people, embracing of change, and I am unafraid of any challenge thrown at me. Moreover, I enjoy staying active through lifting weights, traveling, and volunteering. Lets Connect! egelstonr1@udayton.edu

'SWAT' Team Member at Flyer Enterprises
-Currently serve on a "SWAT" team preparing another division of Flyer Enterprises: The Galley for when our food court, Kennedy Union, closes for remodeling. The Galley is a small ice cream shop at the University of Dayton, and as a result of the closing, it is expecting a spike in customer transactions. The food court is expected to be closed from the end of October 2016 to August 2017. Composed of a team of 9 members, we are working dilligently to meet the needs of hungry students. -Instead of selling just ice cream and shakes, we are working on bringing new products like sandwiches, wraps, pizza, and salads to fill the vacancy of Kennedy Union. -Additionally, we are preparing the schedules to keep payroll as low as possible and to ensure the most efficient transition when Kennedy Union closes and then reopens. -We are anticipating a 6-10% increase in total revenue.

Assistant General Manager at The Jury Box at Flyer Enterprises
Flyer Enterprises is a completely student-run business employing over 170 students at the University of Dayton bringing $1.2 million dollars annually in revenue. The Jury Box is one of 9 divisions of FE providing experiential learning for students like myself. -I'm currently involved with a marketing team, targeting our student customers through means of social media and marketing campaigns using flyers and posters to increase brand awareness, product awareness and knowledge of our location. -I work as a buyer in contact with our McConnell vendor regarding our grab n go convenience section to ensure we have enough supply to sell to customers. Working closely with our General Manager, I help analyze what sells and what doesn't to cater to customers. Also, I am a coffee buyer for our coffee section and have the privilege of working with Boston Stoker Coffee Roasters. -As sales associates, we are the face of The Jury Box. We make the food, ring up purchases, and provide conversation to student customers. -Currently work on a project team with the General Manager and Director of Operations of Flyer Enterprises' Caterering looking into local vendors for direct procurement. We see the marketing plus of buying local, the added experiential learning of adding more buyer positions with the vendor, the possible increase in product quality and the potential decrease in cost of goods sold.
