Hello! I'm Ellie, a Biology Major at SUNY Oneonta with a Pre-Vet concentration. I'm excited to use this application to document my scholarship, animal care, and research accomplishments! I plan to graduate from SUNY Oneonta in Spring 2026 and continue my education to obtain a DVM, becoming a veterinarian. Currently, I am an intern at SuperHeroes Humane Society and Oneonta Veterinary Hospital where I gain valuable experience in animal care.

Shelter Intern at SuperHeroes Humane Society

As an intern at SuperHeroes Humane Society, I assist in animal intake, application review, secretarial work, animal care, cleaning, customer service, and any other aspects of shelter life I am needed in. I have gained hands-on experience with cats and dogs and have participated in spay/neuter clinics, all gaining valuable experience.

At the Oneonta Veterinary Hospital, I actively assist the veterinarian wherever possible. I have garnered experience restraining animals, creating microscope slips, examining a variety of biological materials under microscopes, observing surgeries and appointments, using veterinary technology, and more.
