Research and identify potential corporate sponsors and target companies for WTCSav
programs and events
Assist with all aspects of marketing, coordinating, documenting, and implementing
workshops, seminars, and events (i.e., press releases, publicity materials, etc.)
Manage the intern Instagram account and assist with WTCSav social media accounts
Attend and assist in all WTCSav programs to increase knowledge about international
trade and support staff on special projects and events as needed or any other duties
Assist with the SEDA and WTCSav monthly newsletters
Assist with human resource management of WTCSav Internship Program, including
current interns, alumni, recruitment, and orientations
Work directly with FOH Management and staff at Berckmans Place to serve members and guests at Augusta's.
Uphold club standards and assist with daily operations within the Hospitality and Operations Team.
Ensure confidentiality to all members and private guests of the Club.
Ensure swift and accurate drink presentation
Address member and guest inquiries, and requests promptly and effectively.
Phase 1: Foundation
Students who are enrolled in the internship program will gain an understanding of all aspects of the
athletic marketing department. Interns will gain experience of game day preparation and execution of
Georgia Southern home sporting events covered by the marketing department. This will include (but not
limited to):
Rolling t-shirts
Collecting in-game promotional materials
Creating in-game promotional content such as trivia questions and t-shirt designs
Distribution game day promotional materials
Loading graphics on video boards
Preparing walkie talkies
Creating print and digital material
Throwing out t-shirts
Choosing and escorting special guests and promotional game contestants onto playing surface
Operating music and video board at select events
Performing as PA Announcer and Mic Man for select sporting events
Assisting with community events: Interns will provide assistance with other miscellaneous
marketing department activities, such as Junior Eagle Club (JEC), or marketing events (Punt Pass
Kick Competition, JEC Party, GUS Birthday Bash, etc.)
Phase 2: Administrative Responsibilities:
After mastering the foundations of the game day marketing operations, interns will then have the
opportunity to perform administrative tasks, which include:
Writing game day scripts
Creating promotional elements such as halftime entertainment
Performing as on-court/on-field manager
Distributing game day responsibilities to others
Creating ideas for themed games (Girl Scout Day, Alzheimers Awareness Game)
Creating and fulfilling checklists for marketing events
Taking charge of marketing events (Field of Screams, Fan First, etc.)
Work directly with Director of Operations to ensure members and guests are checked in and out and club standards are held to the highest standard. Address member and guest inquiries, and requests promptly and effectively. Meticulously handle the POS system processing over 30 +transactions daily. Ensure swift and accurate drink preparation and food service. Establishment has food and beverage volume of $748,200 out of total gross club revenue of $2.7 million.
