Kreigh Elzey

I am currently an honors freshman undergraduate student at Miami University. I am studying Biomedical Engineering and have a Pre med co-major. I am on the Miami University Equestrian Team, specifically the hunt seat team. I ride twice a week and am one of the workout committee team leads. I am also a part of Engineers without Borders. I am on the grant writing committee as well as the committee in charge of the water project in Uganda. We are currently creating a pre-trip assessment plan for the upcoming trip to Uganda. Additionally, I am a part of MEDLIFE club here and have applied to volunteer at Christ Hospital next semester. I plan to go on a Medical Brigades trip to Tanzania, Africa over January term where I will be helping to set up and run a mobile clinic in the community there. My past work experience includes employment at two retail stores, The Trove, located in downtown Roanoke, IN, and The Find, located in downtown Fort Wayne, IN. I also completed an independent research project my junior year of high school on the effects of a whole food plant based diet on health. The project culminated in a 90+ page research paper and a presentation before a panel. I am currently doing research Dr. Jennifer Bulanda here at Miami University.
