The campus chapter of the worldwide human rights organization. I joined in the fall of 2016 and participated in Write for Rights, Refugee Night, and also went to the Northeast Regional Amnesty International Conference in Boston in November 2016. In May 2016, I was elected Vice President of the club for the upcoming fall semester.
While a resident in Orange House, I served on the leaders caucus for the LLC. Myself and two other students assisted a faculty member with planning activities for the LLC, all of which had to do with New York City, as the LLC centered around it. Over the course of the year, we took trips to see four Broadway shows; went to Central Park; saw Upright Citizens Brigade; went to a taping of The Meredith Vieira Show; and held multiple movie nights over the course of the two semesters. The movies we showed, with the exception of one, all had something to do with New York City, for example "On the Town" and "RENT". Along with the movies, we also had pizza and, on the final movie night of the year, an ice cream social.
