Erin Umlauf

I am a first-year student at Emmanuel College, enthusiastically pursing a career in Social Work. I look forward to studying issues such as social justice as they can be applied to the field of economics. I currently work for the Emmanuel College Career Center and Green Mountain Chocolate as a Sales Clerk and Keyholder, where I developed valuable professional skills in communication, active listening, and complex problem-solving. I have worked with a computer and cash register on a daily basis, and have an aptitude for technology. I also have a variety of volunteer experience, including office work at Hopkinton Center for the Arts, where I enjoyed greeting guests and answering questions about featured exhibits. I have worked with other non-profits, including Rise Against Hunger, where I coordinated an effort between the organization and Bellingham High's chapter of National Honor Society to package over 10,000 meals for victims of natural disasters. I am eager to continue my studies at Emmanuel College, and further develop my skills in the field of Human Services.
