I participated in journalism my junior and senior year at Ola High School. My first year I was a staff writer for our school's newspaper, at that time, the Green and Gold Gazette. My senior year, I served as Editor in Chief for our school's new newspaper, The Hoof Print.

Throughout my years in FFA, I was able to preform community service, research projects, career development competitions, and obtain leadership activities. I competed in several area and state level competitions designed to develop my skills for potential future careers. I held my first office in my chapter my sophomore year, Sentinel. My junior year I was President of my chapter. My senior year, I was the secretary of my chapter as well as Vice President of my area.

Work Experience

Internship at Sharon Baptist Church

I began my internship as the Student Ministry student intern. This internship lasted the entire school year. I preformed several office tasks, such as paperwork, but I also coordinated and advertised events for the student ministry. I was then asked to become the summer intern. My responsibilities were similar, but I had the opportunity to create and teach bible study lessons.
