The scholarship is given to a member of the Southeast Missouri State University community who displays exceptional advocacy, support, and dedication towards the LGBTQ+ community. It is also given to LGBTQ+ student leaders at Southeast Missouri State University. I was honored to receive this scholarship twice, the 2022-2023 Academic Year & 2023-2024 Academic Year.

As a participant in Leadership Cape 2025, I worked with 4 other area professionals to complete a nonprofit project for Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis which serves Southeast Missouri. We delivered a number of deliverables, a presentation, and spoke to the Chamber of Commerce at First Friday Coffee.

Brief overview of the partnership between Southeast Missouri State University and Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority(CTA) to provide sober, safe-rides to college students who choose to drink and may not have access to transportation during certain times, and from certain locations in town.
