Passionate about my studies, work, and relationships. From Legos to 3D modeling, I have always been interested in building things and how things work. I have a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering. I intend to improve healthcare throughout my career in healthcare technology and medical devices. My interests lie in degradable materials, drug delivery, and medical device design. In my free time, I love spending time with my friends, playing music, and traveling.

StartUp
I was part of the Idea 2 Prototype program at Tech that helped us take our idea to the prototype phase. I had a few failures that helped me learn what not to do when designing new devices. Fall 2016, I became the cofounder of Hera Health Solutions Inc. We seek to improve women's health internationally. Our current device is a resorbable contraceptive arm implant for women. We are currently running validation testing on our prototype and plan to enter animal testing by fall 2017.

Theta Xi
Theta Xi Fraternity provided much needed emotional support throughout my time at Georgia Tech. We received an award for best Theta Xi chapter nationally in 2016 and received the 2016 philanthropy award from Georgia Tech Greek Life. During my time at Theta Xi, I served on the executive board and planned many large scale events. One of my favorite memories is performing for our campus Greek Sing where we form a team of brothers to sing and dance for a panel of judges. I was able to play my saxophone for a few songs and we ended up winning 2nd place overall that year.

TEAM Buzz
I served on TEAM Buzz as the Recruitment Chair for a year and then as the Director of Logistics. TEAM Buzz is a one day service event that engaged 1000 students in service activities across the metro-Atlanta area. We completed 54 projects this past year with over 1200 participants. My duties included speaking at student organizations, creating advertisement and running our media pages. As Director of Logistics, I handled the day of planning including food, meeting places, emergency preparedness, sign in, tool distribution, and many other tasks leading up to our event. I learned so much about how we can make a difference when there is passion involved. I also learned that pizza is a precious commodity and should be shared equally, haha.

Georgia Tech Symphony Orchestra
I played 1st chair bassoon in the symphony orchestra. It was challenging playing with a different mix of instruments than I was used to from high school. Playing in the orchestra really helped me destress from the week and escape from the intense math or physics problem that was wracking my brain.
