I have been married to my wife Ginger for over 25 years, and we have three children together. I work full time as a supervisory police detective overseeing the work and caseload of 10 police detectives and crime scene investigators, as well as seven non-sworn staff. Since August 2020, I have been enrolled at Belhaven University seeking to complete my bachelors degree in management with a concentration in criminal. In August 2022, I will complete my coursework and will have earned my degree with honors while working on average of 50 hours per week.

Detective Sergeant at Hattiesburg Police Department

Responsible for daily supervision for 10 detectives investigating white collar crimes, domestic violence crimes, property crimes, and person crimes. This division averages a clearance rate of 40% which is approximately 14% above the national average.
Over see the case load and work of eight (8) detectives assuring timely completion of case files.
Manage and work a rotating case load of 15 to 25 active felony investigations.
Serve as the supervisor for seven (7) non-sworn personnel whose duties include crime scene investigations, crime data collection and reporting, evidence intake and disposal, and administrative office management.
