June, 15 2018 - Verified by Grove City CollegeMy co-teacher and I wrote the curriculum, planned activities, and taught a two-week Kindergarten Readiness Program for students preparing to enter Kindergarten. We built the program around an Olympic theme, educating our students on various countries of the world and tying in literary, mathematical, and scientific concepts that relate to them.
I served as an Assistant Teacher for the Butler County Community College Kids on Campus program for the summer of 2018. This year, I assisted in classrooms with students ranging in ages from kindergarten to eighth grade, working with various fields like computer programming, art, cooking, and more. I am expected to return as an afternoon teacher of kindergarten to first grade students.
I am the teacher's assistant to the Associate Chair of the Education Department of Grove City College. I help develop student-teaching and career related sources for students, review and prepare student work, grade projects and tests, and organize events on behalf of the Education Department.
