Ginger Levinson

Majored in Biology
Miami University , Class of 2023
From La Vergne, Tenn.
Hello, I'm Ginger! Nice to meet you! Im a Certified Interpretive Guide and informal education enthusiast with 10 years of education experience ranging from pre-school to medical school. I earned a Master of Arts in Biology from Miami University in 2023, with a focus on improving access to environmental education in a multitude of settings. I earned my B.S. in Sociology and Psychology from MTSU and I also hold professional certificates in DEI Leadership from Miami University and Leadership Excellence from Vanderbilt University. During my time at Miami University, I was honored to receive several scholarships including the Global Initiatives Scholarship, Charley Harper Scholarship, which aided in the creation of the La Vergne Public Library Learning Links program, and the Miami University Family Fund Grant, which aided in the creation of the Earth Expeditions Accessibility Guide. I have also been the recipient of several professional development scholarships including Disneys Animal Kingdom Diversity Advancement Scholarship and the ZWPA Scholarship. My time at Miami University also gave me the unique opportunity to travel on three separate Earth Expeditions study abroad programs to Belize, Namibia, and Australia to conduct field research with global conservation organizations like the Belize Zoo, the Cheetah Conservation Fund, and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. I currently work as a Standardized Patient at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where I am able to combine my passions for the arts and education in one role by fostering a supportive environment for the instruction and assessment of clinical and communication skills for aspiring healthcare professionals. My passions away from work include serving my community through volunteering, traveling, and photography.
