Student at SUNY New Paltz majoring in International Relations, minoring in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Communications
I am someone who likes to keep myself involved in different types of programs and clubs in order to help broaden my knowledge and experience. I think its important to understand different types of people as well as learning different types of perspectives in order to help create a change in the community.
I graduated my high school, Millennium Art Academy, located in the South Bronx and received 11 awards and one scholarship. The 11 awards were, member of Student Government for four years; Honors for Excellence in U.S. History; Honors for Excellence in Math; Public Advocate; Principal award for "Excellence in Leadership"; Certificate of Merit from the Computers & Technology Committee; President's Education Awards Program; Certificate for Outstanding Citizenship Service and Leadership in the Student Government Organization; Certificate of Outstanding Achievement in Foreign Language; Chancellor's Honor Roll; Recognition of Excellence; and a $1,000 scholarship from the Mentoring Program in Ernest and Young Accounting Firm.

Scholars Mentorship Program
SMP is a multicultural program that addresses the educational disparities of the historically underrepresented students of SUNY New Paltz. SMP develops a community of scholars and leaders who celebrate academic achievement, whilst becoming culturally competent, to develop an inclusive campus.
