Gozde is a postdoctoral research associate at Interdisciplinary Consortium on Advanced Motion Performance (iCAMP), Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. She received her PhD degree from Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering Department, University of Rhode Island, Kingston where she served as a research scholar at the Wearable Biosensing Lab. Her PhD research interests include embedded systems, wearable technology and Internet of Things (IoT).
Now, Gozde is currently working on different digital health projects such as assesing movement quality using wearable sensors, telecare monitoring of elderly people, in-home remote monitoring of cognitive frailty.
She was a recipient of
Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering Outstanding Researcher Award in 2022,
Master&PhD Degree Scholarship for Overseas Universities from Turkish Ministry of National Education in 2014,
NSF Connections in Smart Health Workshop Student Travel Award in 2018 and 2019,
CRA-W Grad Cohort for Women Student Travel Award in 2019, 2021 and 2022,
Also she took the second place in the Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering Best Poster Award in 2018 and the first place in 2019.
